Our Beautiful Little Girl

Here are a few photos of our little girl. We discovered that she loves to suck on her arm since that is all she did during the 20 min. ultra sound. You could see her lips moving, it was awesome! Let us know who you think she looks more like. And no that isn't hair on her head, she is just pushing her head against my tummy and so it is a shadow.

Rabies Scare

So yesterday was an interesting and event filled day. First thing in the morning we thought that one of our cats had rabies because he was drooling terribly. We called animal control to come over and get him to test if he did have it so that we could all go get shots if we needed to. We called them a few times and they never came so I took it to the vet. After checking him out they announced that he was having anxiety attacks and that's why he was drooling so bad. Thank goodness cuz the shots would have cost us $1,800 after insurance! I went ahead and got him vaccinated and the other is going in a few weeks so that we will not have this scare again.

Breaking In

So, on Tuesday I invited Heather over to hang out for a few. And hang out is what we did. We hung outside because I locked us outside. She brought over some bubbles for Brennden so we went out back to play. And that's how it all started.

This is the stick that I put in the glass door to keep Brennden from getting out. We propped the stick up and went out. I then decided to shut the door (not thinking) and the stick fell right into place. After going around the house and checking windows and doors we decided that the back door was the only way to get back in. Heather went to her car and gathered all the materials that she had to try and use for the break in.

These are all the tools that we used. After much trial and error we found that the hangers, when broken, were the best tools. An hour (yes and hour) later Heather was able to maneuver a hanger under the door and push the stick out of the way. That was not what I had in mind for hanging out, but it was and adventure and it gave us something to laugh about. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

What A Day

Wednesday was a very trying and stressful day right from the start. I was still tired when it came time for Dustin to go to work so I had him put in a movie for Brennden and give him some cereal and a drink. Usually Brennden is satisfied with that, but not today. He decided that he wanted to go outside and play. So he put on his shoes some time between 6:00 and 7:30 and went out. I awoke to the screen door slamming shut. He was on his way in to let me know that he had pooped in his diaper. He was frozen (not that he seemed to mind). I was just so relieved that he hadn't run off.

Then later that afternoon he tried to poop all by himself. He made a huge mess! I would describe it but I think the video speaks for itself. Don't watch it if you get grossed out easily. And yes, the dark spot on the carpet next to the seat lid is pee that he spilled in his attempt to do things by himself.

Then later that same night we had an alarming phone call about our house. We almost weren't able to get it because the down payment was upped $2,700 at the last minute. While we were scrambling to work that out Brennden peed on the floor in the hallway. It was an accident this time though. He went to the bathroom to go potty and discovered that his step stool wasn't in there so he was on his way to tell us. At least this was only a little mess. He was able to hold most of it and make it back to the potty to finish. Goodness gracious what a day!

All Packed Up

Thanks to Heather's help, our place is pretty much all packed up. I can now relax knowing that everything will be ready to go when everyone shows up to help us move. The only things left to pack are the clothes in the closet and I am not packing those. I'm just gunna grab them out of the closet and throw them in the car. Our food, dishes, and movies are all packed up. We are pretty much living on left overs and paper plates. I might have under estimated how much food we eat, so we might end up going out to fast food a few times this week, but all well. I am so excited that I can bearly wait!

What A Wonderful Husband

So, my cat hasn't been doing to well lately. He was limping and not eating. I talked Dustin into letting me take it to the vet to see if we could help him get better or help him leave the world. Well, after the visit (which included anesthesia, ex-ray, sedation, and cutting) we found that he could be helped. Chef has a two inch long soft plastic tube sticking out of his leg that has to be cleaned every day and then taken out on Tuesday, he has antibiotics, and all the cats have ear mites with medicated drops for those. Dustin's wallet took a big hit for this one. But I am extremely glad that he let me do it. Not every husband would let his wife spend that much money on a cat. Trust me, it was a lot. But he likes to spoil me and he knew I was upset with the fact that my cat might not make it so he did what he could to keep me happy. He is wonderful!
And we found Brennden's cat Fish. The first cat we owned. He has rejoined us and won't let us forget that he is here. When he meows it sounds like he is saying mom. We have to listen to see if Brennden is crying for me or if the cat is crying for me. It is actually kinda funny.

Slacking

I have been slacking off so badly on all of my duties as a wife, mother, and house keeper. Arg! I can barely drag myself out of bed in the mornings to be with Dustin while he gets ready for work. When I do get out of bed I usually fall back asleep as soon as we reach the couch. I need to get up and spend time with him, I can always take a nap with Brennden later in the day instead of watching tv while he sleeps. And I haven't been packing him any snacks to go with his lunch.

I keep letting Brennden watch way too much tv, eat on the couch instead of at the table, and I haven't read his scriptures to him very often. He wants to eat snacks for breakfast every day and we don't get our teeth brushed or dressed until around noon! What is going on here? I need to start getting back into a routine with him. He keeps asking to go outside and blow bubbles or draw with his chalk or go to the park, but I have just been lazy. It's been getting increasingly harder to get him to take a nap on time because he isn't tired. He hasn't done anything all day so why should he be?

I have been letting the laundry pile up till we have nothing left to wear, only vacuum every other day, the dishes keep getting higher and higher in the sink, the beds are left unmade, the house gets cleaned every other week instead of every week, and the garbage can is overflowing before I get around to taking it out.... Poor Dustin ends up doing the dishes most nights for me.

My exercising has gone from every other day to once or twice a week, I don't do my hair or change out of my pjs most days, and I keep eating junk food. I think it is about time to start a fire under myself and get the lead out. I keep looking around the house and seeing how bad it is getting and then I get all frustrated about it. I don't like being lazy and there is no excuse to be. When I get off my butt and get things done I feel great. So here's to getting back into a routine.

This Last Week

We are almost done paying for the birth of Charity! Only $2000 to go. On the 28th I will be going in for a 4D ultra sound and I will be sure to post many pictures. We were able to go to St George this weekend and Dustin and I spent more time together than we have in a long long time. Usually we feel rushed when we go up there, but this time we relaxed a lot. It felt good.
We were able to go to Candice's birthday party, watch Devin play soccer (Brennden got upset that he couldn't run out there and play too), have my Dad's Chinese food for Ashley's birthday, and watched I Am Legend at Tiff's house. Dustin was also able to adopt Brennden!!!! He is now Brennden Matthew Farnsworth. Now we can all get sealed in the temple at the same time. Then Dustin had Monday off too so we went to Lowe's to look for blinds and other nick nacks for our new place. (Can't wait to move in).
Last night our neighbor's cat tried to come in for a visit while we were letting our cats in. It even brought in a toy filled with cat nip. Dustin's cat must have played with it outside because he was acting very strange. He couldn't open his eyes all the way and he was all sluggish and slow. We could pretty much do anything to it and it would just sit there. It was funny.
We also had a spot in our hallway sink in so now we have one more thing in this place that needs to be fixed. I went to Mom's for a few hours because the landlord smokes and I can't stand to be in this place while he and his friend are here fixing things. I was gone for 4 hours and when I got back they still hadn't fixed it. ARGH! In fact they are knocking on the door right now so I had better go.
