DUSTGUSTING, DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING!

Brennden did the most disgusting thing this afternoon. I found him hiding in our bedroom which almost always means that he has to poop. I put him on the potty and left the room because he goes sooner if he's alone. Well what a mistake that was! He did poop real quick, but he thought that he needed to show me. So he picked it up and brought it to me! DISGUSTING!!! :p

Stuck In The Mud, Well Sort Of...

Thursday I went to Ignacio, Colorado to do a job for a client of mine that was in a bind. I left from Montezuma Creek and began the trek to the job site near the La Plata County Airport. When I arrived I noticed it was exceptionally muddy and that this job was going to be a blast. I proceeded to the pipeline and as you can see from the picture I got stuck. And not only did I get stuck to the point that I had to have heavy equipment remove me from my situation, I needed him to pull my truck for an additional quarter mile until I could drive again. Actually is was more like gravity pull my truck down hill while all the wheels were locked. Once I finished with my "downhill skiing" I needed to cross a small stream, by small I mean it looked to be were somebody had dumped out a water jug and had a really slow trickle. As soon as my truck got into the mess it sunk up to the decal on the side of the door (about at the top of the front tire). The bad part about this is the spotter for the equipment was in la la land and didn't notice I needed to be re-attached. So out of the truck I go and as soon as I step out of the truck I sunk to over the top of my knees. After attaching the truck and getting moving again, which wasn't an easy thing to do (there was an old grave in the right-of-way that had to be avoided in 3 foot deep mud) I was able to finish the last five welds and process all of the film. I then looked at my watch and noticed my helper and myself were able to have done 25 welds in one hour and fifty minutes, which is quite an accomplishment on a dry day.

Im A Pirate And Im Looking For Booty!

So with all the frustration of looking for homes and not finding anything we liked we have decided to build a home. With all the homes we have seen and the quotes we have from builders it will cost us the same amount plus or minus 10,000 to build a home that is roughly 300 sq ft bigger and isnt over 40 years old. So wish us luck that everything goes as planned and that we can get it built before we have to live to long in our tin can with a toddler and a new born.

SUCCESS!!!

After 6 months of having the dryer in the middle of our bathroom because it was an eightth of an inch to wide to fit in its spot we got it to fit. Alan and I tried for half an hour to get it to fit we gave up. Tonight Angie wanted to clean under the washer so we moved it all and I decided to try one more time. I started pushing at an angle and it went about 6 inches in and wouldnt budge. I then got the idea to take of the door and give a little more room for me to play with. And guess what happened. It slid in all the way like it should. I was psyched.

Frustration

As all of you should know by now, Angie and I are on the 5th month of looking for a home and we are still "homeless". We look at home after home and are not satisfied with anything we have seen. The one home we saw that we did like the owner had unreal expectations on what she wants for the house. Is it just me or is this the most stessful part of being a grown up?

Just a Few Things To Make You Laugh

It's Daddy!

On the way to the store the other day, Brennden noticed an x-ray truck. He yells, "There's Daddy!" Try as I might, I could not convince him that it wasn't daddy. I'm surprised that he even remembered what Dustin's truck looked like.

I Have To Go Potty!

I was shopping at Target when Brennden says, "I have to go potty." So there I am trying to run to the front of the store with a basket and a little kids repeatedly saying I have to go potty. What a sight I must have been.

You're Stupid

Brennden was playing with the cat when it scratched him on the mouth. He cried, I gave him loves, then asked "Do you want the cat to say sorry?" He looks at the cat, yells "You're stupid!" Runs to his room and slams the door shut. Thank you siblings.

I'm Afraid of Birds

Last night I woke up hearing what I thought were foot steps around the house. I woke up Dustin to see if he could hear them too. I made him get up and look around the house and peek out the windows to see if he can see anything. After an hour of listening the these 'foot steps' I get him to call the cops to come and check everything out. They get here, walk around the house, and then come to our door to tell us of their findings. We have a tree full of doves next to our bedroom window. When they take off they kind of sound like someone walking around. How embarrassing to call the cops over because of birds!

Happy Parents

Today after dinner Brennden was escorted to his potty to take care of his business. Much to Mommy and Daddy's glee Brennden had taken care of both of the items of business on the agenda without any negotiations. Brennden was rewarded with many loves and a sucker. Lets see if tomorrows meetings go as smoothly.
