Flashback

I was taking turns rocking Brennden and Charity like babies today when I was hit by a flashback. As I was holding Charity and looking down at her I thought; 'Brennden was this size when he was 11 months old.' Crazy huh. I have now had 2 kids at opposite sides of the size spectrum. Brennden skipped up sizes like crazy. He has always been on the bigger side of the spectrum. He is in size 5 clothes already. Charity has been slow and steady. I just moved Charity into 18 months and she is almost 2. She has always been on the smaller end of the spectrum. Maybe Dalin will be in the middle, but I doubt that. According to the ultra sound he is going to be one tall baby. Mr Long Legs is what we will have to call him.
It's fun to go back and look at baby books (although I have been horrible at keeping them up). I have photo albums for both kids and look through them to see how they have grown and compare them to each other. Their personalities are both opposite too. Brennden has to have face time with me where Charity just wants to know you are there but be by herself. Brennden is a mommies boy and Charity is a daddies girl. Brennden is afraid of everything and Charity has no fear at all. Brennden won't eat anything, Charity eats everything. Brennden can't find anything even if he is already touching it, Charity will pick things up to look under them until she finds it. The only meat Brennden likes is hot dogs, and that's the only meat Charity doesn't like.
It's so funny to look at the two and think, they are so different. But even with all the differences they love to be around each other and share almost anything. I wonder what adventures this new one with bring. But only time will tell.

The Results Are In

Yesterday we took a family trip to the dentist. YEA! We decided that we had all better go one last time before we move so that we didn't have to wait to find a new dentist. Brennden was the first to go in. He even went back and let them clean his teeth without Dustin or me with him. He is getting so big. His teeth look great. I just need to work on brushing his back teeth a little better.
Next was my turn. Regrettably I am the perfect picture of pregnancy gingivitis. :( And there are a few spots that might turn into cavities. I hope not, so far I have a perfect streak and plan to keep it that way. I was told to brush 3 times a day and at night, after I brush my teeth like normal, to brush again with this special tooth paste. So now I get to brush 4 times a day. Like my day is filled enough already.
Last Dustin got to go in. They told him to floss 3 times a week and gave him some new tooth paste with something extra in it that he needs.
Over all we were there for 3 hours, spent not one penny, and had no cavities! It seemed like we were there forever but they were the most thorough dentist we have ever been to. And they had drinks, snacks, book, crayons, and toys to entertain Brennden and Charity with. Not even the children's dentists that I've tried going to (and not liked one bit) have had things for the kids to do.

Things I've Learned This Week

Since I got home on Monday, there are a few things that I have learned.

Tuesday:
Do not put a plastic lid on the stove burner that you just barely turned off. It will melt.

Wednesday:
Don't let the cat you just had neutered sit on you lap on the ride home from the vet. It will pee and poop on you.
Even if you give kids bubbles outside, they will end up spilled inside.

Thursday:
My kids cannot sleep in the same bed. I hope they will be able to share a room.
My cat looks funny with his tail shaved. HAHAHA!
My kids will let the cat out of his cage at the Vets Office if not watched closely.

Friday:
My stomach muscles have separated and that is why I cannot sit up out of bed or off the floor. Instead I have to roll over and push or pull myself up.
Every time I go to the store to buy the kids clothes, I buy twice as much for Charity as I do for Brennden. It must be because she is a girl and there is twice as much to choose from.

What we've been up to.

Earlier this week we went in for an ultra sound and found out that we are having a boy! His name will be Dalin Walt Farnsworth. He definitely didn't want to be a surprise because that was the first pic we got. When I showed the pics to Brennden he asked, "Mom, did he come out for the picture?" How innocent is that?

The next day Dustin and I drove to Oklahoma (12 hour drive). We found a place to rent that is being remodeled! Yeah! Now all that is left to do is pack for the 4th time this month. I think I am going to try out for the packing Olympics. And apparently we were supposed to be moving. For the last month Brennden has been telling me that he wants a yellow house (which is what we are renting) and an orange and white truck (aka U-Haul). I guess he knew something that we didn't. Won't he be excited to see that he gets what he wants.

We have 3 weeks to prepare for the move. AHHH. Guess we should go through all our stuff and yard sell what we don't want and pack up the rest here pretty soon.

Potty Dance

This morning at breakfast Dustin was wiggling around in his chair. Brennden looks over at him and asks, "Dad, do you have to go potty? You're doing the potty dance." Goes to show that Brennden really does listen to what I am saying even if he doesn't act like he is. It was a great start to the day.
