Stranger Danger

I always want to give the kids a bath Saturday night so that we can get to church on time. So when Brennden saw that I was getting ready to give them a bath he ran to the bathroom and hopped in and turned on the water. I told him to get out so that I could give him a hair cut first. His reply as he started to run away "Stranger danger, stranger danger!" It was pretty funny.

Most Commonly Lost Items

I have come to the conclusion that I am always losing things easily. In fact, I bet I would lose my head if it weren't attached. So I am going to make a list of things that I lose the most and I want you to add items that you lose in your comment. Lets see how may different things we all lose and how many are the same.

9- Glass (don't ask how, I rarely leave the kitchen when I get a drink)

A Day in the Snow!

On Thursday I took the kids outside to play in the snow. They had a blast and didn't want to go back inside when I was too cold to stay out any longer. If you look at the photos you can see how deep the snow was and it snowed the whole time we were out there. I put the kids in pjs then their clothes and coats. Charity had an extra layer with the snow suit. I know, I'm over protective. We tried making a snowman but the snow was too dry. But we did have fun kicking a big snowball around. I even got the kids to make snow angels with me. I don't think they will do that again though since snow got on their necks. When I finally talked the kids into going inside their hands were Popsicles so I made some hot chocolate and then we all took a nap. It was tons of fun! (And yes, Charity is eating snow in one of the photos, that's why there is snow on her face.)

Why Brennden Makes Me Smile

Brennden has had this ball for about a year now. It is green and so big I can't even get my arms all the way around it. Dustin bought it for him while they were at the store one day and he notice Brennden eying it. (boy does eying look funny) It only cost about 2 dollars so I am surprised at how long it lasted. Charity has a pink ball that is proportionately the same size. Both kids were playing with the balls when Brennden's hit a corner of a box and popped. He brought it to me trying to blow it up and asked if I could fix it. I explained that is was broken and couldn't be fixed then prepared for the melt down that was sure to follow. Instead, to my relief and amazement, he didn't. He took the broken ball, ripped it in half, and continued to play with it. He gave Charity half and they both wore them as hats, then they threw them into the air and tried catching them. I couldn't help but laugh. The two pieces are still on the floor for them to play with. One of these days when they tire of it I will have to sneak it off the the garbage. Maybe we will buy him a new one soon.

And today he told me the funniest thing. I hope you all can laugh at it as long as I did. He tells me. "Mom, why are you so big, is it because you are 40? I want to be big and 40 like you." I have no idea where he got 40 from seeing as how he can barely count to 20 on a good day, but it made me laugh the whole way to the library.

9 weeks

I went back to the doctor's on Thursday and they said I am 9 weeks along. The baby is so far back close to my spine that they still couldn't get a heart beat and had to do an ultrasound to find it. My thoughts are; if the baby is so far back why is my stomach so big? And if the baby comes before Aug 20th I won't be surprised in the least. I have gained 10 lbs (a lot for 9 weeks don't you think), I went up 2 pant sizes and now have to wear maternity pants because the new pants i bought have gotten too tight. Most of my shirts don't fit length wise anymore unless I wear my tummy sleeve with them. And yes, there is still only one baby that we know of. I guess I am just going to get really really big with this one.

How Far? Answer

So, according to the ultra sound (done with a 3rd doctor, yes I have been to 3) it showed me at 6 weeks in the photo. What is going on? I don't know. I think I look rather big for 6 weeks. Don't think I would really be showing. There are 3 possible answers for this. 1- we miscarried and got pregnant again 2- there are issues due to birth control 3-we are having twins. When I went in for the ultra sound I should have been 18 weeks. With my measurement from 3 different people that is what was concluded. And with the ultra sound saying 6 weeks they would not be able to see twins if they were there because they would be so small that one could be hiding behind the other. I get to go in again next week so I guess we will have to wait and see.
