Oh Where Oh Where Can Alice Be?

Or better yet. who can it be? Brennden has been asking for Alice for the last few days. I have asked if there is an Alice in nursery, but there isn't. Yesterday he made me wonder around the house looking for Alice. He's done this before but it's been a while and then he was looking for a bug not a person. I wish he could tell us who Alice is.

Valles Caldera

Ok heres the sequal Mike, On Thursday I got a phone call from my boss telling me that I would be working on Sunday. I contacted the customer and he told me were I would be, It is were Dad shot his elk when he was at the at the Valles Caldera. So at 6 am on Sunday morning I began the LONG day to the job site, upon arriving the 4 welds I was told I would have turned into 20. In addition to that it still needed to be pressure tested. So at 3 pm the first 18 welds were handed over to me to work, by 4 pm I was done and then started the 4 hour pressure test. At that time I decided to go for a drive and tell my bosses (Angie and Llyod) to expect me to be back between 2 and 4 am. I then turned around and started the hour long drive back to the job site and next thing I knew a bear runs infront of the truck. I grabbed my camera but wasnt fast enough, then I jumped out of the truck and chased it up the hill to get a picture, but talk about a fast fat bugger, after about 5 minutes he had stopped and I could hear and smell him but couldnt see him so I gave up. I returned to the job site and continued to hurry up and wait and much to me glee at 11 pm the last 2 welds were handed over to me and at midnight I was signed out and headed home. At 4:30 am This morning I pulled into the office dropped off my equiptment and was home 5 minutes later. Then bright and early at 6:30 I was up again and off for another 12 hours. For those of you who are wondering, I saw about 400 elk in the front meadow and about 10 in misc. parts of the preserve. They were buggling all night and I couldnt get any good pictures.

SPLAT!!!

Today I went in to work early so that I could meet a customer in Cuba. About 35 miles out of Bloomfield I had a suprise that really woke me up, I was driving about 75 mph and all of a sudden a deer jumped from the other side of the highway and in mid jump saw me coming. In a split second the deer decided to turn around, but oops it slipt and fell. Mean while I was about to crap my pants thinking about how bad it was going to mess up my truck, but much to my pleasure the deer fell facing my truck and my tire met her head and continued up her back leaving a not to pretty sight on the highway and sending Roger and I flying out of our seats (Roger weights about 350 lbs) and hit our heads on the roof. After catching my breath I pulled over to assess the damage and much to my pleasure there was no body damage at all, not even the mud on the bumper was knocked off. Talk about relief and not the r-o-l-a-i-d-s kind either. It did break a shock and knocked out my alignment but hey who needs a truck that rides smooth and drives straight anyway?

Of All The Places

I frequently lose Charity's binkis, and I usually find them in a day or two. Sometimes I find them in strange places, but at least I find them. Well the other day I found one of her binkis in the strangest of places. In the washer. Not the dish washer, the clothes washer. Last Sunday Dustin had put it in his dress shirt pocket at church and I forgot about it and threw his shirt in the washer. At least I found it and it was clean. I learned that the binki was washer safe and to look in pant and shirt pockets before washing them.

I have gotten comments on how much Brennden and Charity look alike and I think they do to, so I decided to post these pictures of them so that you could compare them. Isn't it amazing!

Charity's Favorite Places

Charity love's her swing. This is the only place that she will sleep during the day. She almost never cries here.
Dirty diapers are not acceptable for her. As soon as she is done making it dirty she wants a new one on. She'll cry till she gets on the changing table where she is suddenly all smiles. Hopefully this means she'll be easy to potty train.

She has started to notice her hands more lately and so likes trying to reach for things. She hasn't quite gotten the hand of it yet but enjoys trying.

Charity has to always be sitting upright. Don't you dare try to make her sit back and relax or you won't be able to sit back and relax for a while.

Logos

I got online to play games with Brennden today. He saw this picture and knew exactly what it was. He said, "Look mom. PBS kids." It's just one of many logos he's been able to recognize. We can't drive by a Dairy Queen without him asking for icecream. He also knows the Walmart smilie. It's fun to watch him learn.
P.S.
Go down the page a few posts. For some reason one of my new posts went below the last one.

Frustrating

I'm trying to post new blogs but I can't get any of the photos to upload and the blogs don't make much sense if the pictures aren't there. Argh!!! Once I do get them to upload there will be a few new posts though. Hopefully it won't be to long until then.

Our Own Personal Pharmacy

These are all the medicines that the doctor has told us to take. Just looking at all the medicines almost makes me sick. Talk about having to keep to a schedule! For the last few days all four of us have felt horrible so we finally decided to go to the doctor last night. Charity is on three meds. One for acid reflux, one for an ear infection, and tylanol for a fever. Brennden was unable to get a prescription because they took it off the shelf so he gets to take an over the counter cold medicine plus his vitamins. Both kids get to get nose drops every so often to help clear up their sinuses. Dustin is on meds for ear infections, sudafed for his nose, and live bacteria yogurt for the bacteria in his intestines. I thought all yogurt had live bacteria in it but I guess I was wrong. I am on meds for a cough and soar throat, tylanol at night, and my vitamins. I have to be careful with my meds though, they decrease milk production. Thank goodness for all the milk I've saved in the freezer, it just might come in handy this week.

A Mile And Then Some

A few days ago Dustin and I decided to start going for walks at night. Last night we decided to let Brennden walk instead of taking the stroller and we put Charity in the carrier instead of the sling so that we could walk a little faster without her bouncing around as much. We have been walking almost 2 miles each night. Well, we thought that Brennden might kind of walk fast for the first half but then need to be carried after that. Boy were we wrong. Not only did he not need to be carried, but he actually set the pace for us. I'd say he ran a good mile before slowing to a walk. Dustin had to slowly jog to keep up with him. And I, well let's just say that I was left in the dust for a while. I didn't dare do more than a fast walk because I didn't want to bounce Charity around too badly.I think it's safe to say that we felt really out of shape and a little embarrassed that a two year old was out doing us.
