The Kids Rooms

This is the bed that Dustin and his Dad made for Brennden. Brennden loves it. He has already learned how to climb up and down the top bunk. Dustin showed him how to so that he wouldn't try to do it on his own and give me a heart attack by getting hurt. Comforters are in the making as we speak. One might be done by tomorrow! Boy does Mom do alot quickly.

This is Charity's room obviously. I'm so excited to have it all put together and have everything ready for her arrival. Thank you everyone for the gifts and for coming down. The doctor told me that I am 38 weeks now so you all might want to put another guess in on the due date. I guess she'll come when she is good and ready to.

Loose Tooth

This weekend Brennden was running around like crazy like he always does. But this time his feet couldn't keep up with the top half of his body so he took a good tumble. He face planted it into the carpet but i don't think the cushioning helped much. You could hear the thud of his face and the ground meeting. He started screaming right away so we knew he was hurt pretty good. (He usually tries to hide it when he gets hurt because it embarrasses him.) Dustin ran over and picked him up to love him better. Brennden kept saying his tooth hurt so we gave him some medicine and checked out his mouth. It must have hurt pretty bad because the fall knocked one of his teeth loose. Brennden tried to play with it almost all day so we were wondering if it would end up falling out. It didn't, but we weren't too worried about if it did since it is a baby tooth.

Hellllooo

This morning we all got up early so that I could take Dustin to work because we don't like to leave his truck there when he goes out of town. When we got there, Dustin and I leaned over to kiss each other goodbye. Brennden's response was "Hellllooo." like he thought that we forgot he was back there and shouldn't be kissing in front of him. It was so funny we both cracked up laughing. You'd think that we never kiss in front of Brennden the way he responded.

Wow

Dustin spent the better half of Friday putting hardware on all the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. It took a while but once he starts something it's almost impossible to get him to stop and take a break. He did a wonderful job and I love it. It's amazing the difference something so small makes. And it adds value too! He even added these magnetic locks on all the lower ones so that Brennden wouldn't be able to get into things anymore. They are pretty cool locks too. You can't see them and the drawers and cupboards don't open at all unless you use the magnets so I don't have to worry about little fingers getting smashed. :)

Immediate Answer To a Prayer

Yesterday Brennden and I went for a walk to check the mail. On the way there Brennden kept asking to go to his friends house. I felt bad because I haven't been able to get a hold of our play date pals. I started thinking, 'Boy do I need to get back into the habit of reading my scriptures and reading Brennden's to him. Then I can pray for help in finding a friend and the Lord would help me to find one.' No sooner had a thought this than a neighbor from our ward stepped out of her house and stopped me. She invited us in for a little while and got my number because some of the families in the ward get together on the weekends to play games and during the week some of the mom's get together and go to a privately owned park. I was thrilled to be invited into a group of stay-at-home moms! She is only a few years older than me and has a boy that is almost 3 that Brennden enjoyed playing with. I wasn't expecting such an immediate answer to my prayer, but I am VERY grateful for it. I am so happy to have been able to find a home in a place where there are younger families in the neighborhood and in the ward. And I feel very comfortable in saying that the reason I feel it took so long to find a home was so that we would be able to get into a neighborhood like this one where we have the opportunity to meet and get to know other young couples.
