New Things

Brennden has begun to notice new toys around the house and he seems to think that they are for him. He tries to hop in the swing, play under the gym (whenever he notices Charity under it he asks for his turn), and all the buttons and colors and sounds of Charity's caterpillar are very appealing to him. Hopefully they will both be willing to share of I might end up deaf from the crying and screaming.
There is one thing that Brennden likes to share and that is diaper changing. As soon as he hears that Charity needs a new diaper he runs to her room, gets the wipes, cream, powder, and diaper out and ready for me. Then he sits on the floor and waits for me to hand him the dirty one to throw away. Now that's what I call great sharing. If only it would last through the whole time he lives at home. But that is wishful thinking.
Charity is doing great too! She sleeps anywhere between 3 and 5 hours, hardly ever cries, and can be left to sit awake by herself for up to an hour while I try to finish some cleaning around the house. The only fault that she possess is the fact that day and night are backwards to her, but I know that she will soon figure that out.

The Greatly Anticipated Day

Ahhhh! The day is finally here. Bright and early in the morning I will be going to the hospital to be induced. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. The wait has been driving me insane, but I must admit, I don't think I'm entirely ready. The reality of having another little one, and even more scary, going through labor again has finally hit me. I know that if I did it once I can do it again, but I've never really thought about it till now. So hears to changing diapers, sleepless nights, endless crying, and the wonderful opportunity of watching a little one grow.

Cat Burglars

So.... Friday night we were over at Heather and Alan's house when we got a disturbing phone call. It's about ten o'clock and ADT calls to inform us that our house alarm is going off. The alarm that was activated was the motion detector that is in the living room / kitchen so we are thinking that someone broke the sliding glass door to our backyard. We're about twenty minutes away so we run the the car and rush home while making sure the the police are dispatched to our house. We get home and the cops are waiting for us. They said that all the doors and windows were secured but they wanted to walk around in the house just to be safe. Thankfully there was no one there so we said thanks and they went on their way. Dustin walks to the sliding glass door and notices holes in the curtain. One or both of the cats had climbed the curtain and caused it to sway enough to set off the motion detector. The cats have never climbed the curtains that we were aware of. And they won't again because we have cut the claws and I hope that they will remember having to listen to the alarm go off for about half an hour. I know that it had them rattled for the rest of the night because they were acting paranoid for the rest of the night. Thank goodness it was a false alarm!

130 pounds and counting....

No its not Angie, its how much ant killer I have used on my yard so far. So far I have killed 90% of the ants in the yard but the last few just seem to be kicking my butt. Lets just pray that this last batch off poison kills them all.
