Oh What a Week

Oh what a week and it's only Wednesday. Sunday Brennden decided to help Charity paint her nails. In doing so he got red nail polish all over his brand new khaki church pants. After hours of trying different methods I got 'most' of it out. Nail polish remover works the best fyi.

Monday. Hmm... I don't remember Monday. I know it was bad. It ended with all 4 of us crying. I probably blocked the day out of my memory. Or was that Sunday? I don't know. Anyway....

Tuesday, Charity put her princess cd into the ps3. And it was stuck. Let's just say that it made me pretty mad.

Wednesday, I went outside to take care of the front yard. While out Charity decided to paint her nails. I thought that the top of the fridge was out of her reach, guess I was wrong. She got the nail polish, painted her nails, pjs, and table. Table made me mad. The nail polish came off, but so did the finish. You can see exactly where the nail polish was. Grrrr. I also decided to try and fix the ps3 situation. Looking online everything said "This works but will void the warranty and possible ruin the ps3. Try only as a last resort." I called Sony instead. I mean, come on, this has had to of happened to someone else right. Sony told me how to get it out without voiding the warranty!

Last weekend was pretty bad so I'm thinking that I've hit the bottom (hopefully) and am now on my way up.

Cat Wrestling

Earlier I commented on how Dalin loves to wrestle the cats. Well, here is the proof. He also loves to go dumpster diving. I now have a new trash can with a lid on it. It still only works about half the time in keeping Dalin out of it. But it is taller so he can't reach in as far now.

So Embarrassed

Today I tried to go to a group class at the gym since I've been doing my own for a while I thought I would be social today. Well, I didn't get to stay for long. Just 30 min into the workout the kid zone employees came for me. Right away I knew it was Brennden, I just didn't know how bad it was. Lets rewind to when I was walking to the gym from the parking lot.........

Brennden was acting kind of funny doing a little dance. The potty dance. I told him when he gets inside he needs to go right to the bathroom. That if he went in his pants they would tell us to go home. Apparently he didn't believe me. But last time he had an 'accident' they just took care of it and told me about it. But this time it was much, much worse. He had to go #2, and he didn't want to, so he tried to hold it in, only it didn't stay in so well. So he put his had down his pants to see if there was any there, and sure enough there was. It was on his hand. So he wiped it on the wall in the play area. Then he through a fit and wouldn't let them clean his hands off. So they came and got me. I went to my locker and got my stuff because I knew I wasn't going to be staying.

When I got to the kid zone they had changed Dalin's diaper, put Charity's shoes on, and were working on Brennden. He wouldn't budge. I had to drag him, literally, to the bathroom to wash his hands. And then drag him out the door to the car. I was so embarrassed. There is no way I am going in tomorrow. Charity is pretty sad since she LOVES the gym. I can't wait til Brennden goes back to school.

Yesterday we drove down to Stillwater for a Pioneer Day celebration. It was 108 outside and the kids insisted on going out to play in the water. I'm surprised Charity could even climb that ladder.


Brennden of course had no trouble. There was also a bounce/slip n slide. Brennden was a little short to run and jump onto it so he asked all the guys around for help. I'm very grateful that they took turns launching him down the lanes.

Dalin had fun walking around on the grass and getting the occasional spray of water.




Here's a short lip of the slide. Ladies kept walking in front of me and Dalin was hanging onto me so I couldn't really move around.

A Beautiful View

It's been little over a year now but I finally got around to hanging Charity's butterflies back up. This is what she gets to wake up to. Isn't it pretty?
And this is the view from her door. She hasn't left her room since I put them up. Can you hear the silence? I can. And it sounds wonderful! I just wonder, how long can a 3 year old be mesmerized by something so simple?

Dalin never takes binkis, until today. And it's not even his binki. No, he is chosing to sport Charity's lovely pink binki. He has a couple of his own that I have been trying to give him, but he insists on the pink one even though it is the same size and shape as his. And crawling is almost out. He is walking almost all the time now. When he falls, he gets right back up. I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

T-Ball

Once again, Brennden played T-ball. And once again, he happened to be on the red team. He has improved remarkably. All of them have. You can tell which kids are playing for fun and which kids are actually going to play on school teams.
We had one game where every kid actually hit a pitched ball instead of having to use the T.
There is a kid in his class that played on his team last year that I requested to be on the same team. Brennden was excited to play with him again. Right when we got back from our vacation Brennden asked if we could call and have him come over.
Tomorrow I am signing him up for flag football. We'll see if he likes that more or if he wants to stick to T-Ball. I'm so glad that he has to opportunity to try different sports and find the one that fits him best.
