Prince Brennden

DSCN0197

In celebration of the royal wedding, Brennden's school let the kids dress up like princes and princesses. They are also having a tea party, with real tea. I had to go in early and let his teacher know that we have a religious objection to tea and not to give any to him. :( Dustin read the scripture about tea to Brennden to help him understand why he can't have any tea. I also gave his teacher a capri sun to give to him to help him not feel so left out. When I told Brennden's teacher about it, she thought it was odd. Everyone, and I do mean everyone here drinks tea. They hand it out like soda at school functions. Growing up in Utah I never had an experience like this so we will see how Brennden handles it. At least he was happy about the capri sun and is learning some more about our religion.

That is so awesome! What a great example you were to go to the teacher, knowing she wouldn't probably understand!...and even better than that, what an opportunity to teach Brennden a very important principal that he will be able to recall in times to come. I love seeing you as parents taking the time to teach your children about the gospel! Thank you so much for teaching our grandchildren!
